HANDLE WITH CARE (2014)

By developing cooperative relationships with local groups, Handle With Care provided customized solutions that helped support organizations' passion of caring for nature in the urban environment. Beyond the making of tools, my goal was to create an awareness around the value of repair and the importance of reuse. Creating each object from repurposed materials was in collaboration with local artists and master craftspeople to carry on the traditions of craft. It was my priority that the tools were made to last for generations to come and my collaborations last even longer. When I wasn't making tools, I was out there using them alongside my neighbors to cultivate gardens, collect fruit, and plant new orchards.
